North Dakota is wide open plains, majestic national parks, and the space and quiet to clear your mind and calm your spirit. But it shares one thing with every other state… aging infrastructure that can lead to unforeseen damages to service lines for residents. That’s why so many communities throughout the state could benefit from a partnership with the NLC Service Line Program by HomeServe to help their residents in their times of need.
Most homeowners don’t realize they are responsible for the water and sewer lines from the street to their meter, and are shocked to find they must pay to repair damage caused by age, tree roots, and other issues. Planning ahead and having a warranty program in place to cover these costs can make all the difference when an unexpected emergency occurs.
In 2020, North Dakota residents have more than 5,000 water-related HomeServe policies, and have saved $141,000 dollars in repairs since 2017. Nationally, we completed over 30,000 repairs in 2019.
We’ve already begun to build partnerships in the state. Partnerships can lead to more policies, and millions more in savings for your residents. In fact, we already have partners in your neighboring states:
- In South Dakota, 13 municipal and water utility partners. Residents have over 16,000 active water-related protection plans, and have saved residents over $1.18 million in repair costs since 2017;
- In Minnesota, we have a partnership with the League of Minnesota Cities, 31 municipal and water utility partners, over 22,000 active water-related protection plans, and have saved residents more than $1 million since 2017;
- In Wyoming, we have 13 municipal and water utility partners and residents have over 13,000 Active Water-Related Protection Plans. We have saved residents more than $1 million in repair costs since 2017.
